Disc Harrow

Anyone using a disc harrow with their BX tractor? I had a 4 footer made and it works good when the gangs are adjusted to their setting that cuts least aggressively. However if I set the gangs on the disc to cut the most aggressively, the tractor seems to be laboring and it makes a more pronounced whining in the transmission, but still cuts nicely. Is this too much for my BX2230, or is it safe to do light disc harrowing for my wildlife food plots and garden. I comprimised and set it for a medium cut, but don't want to damage a transmission or anything. Do you find this valuable?

I pull a Farmpride 48" harrow with my BX-24 without too much difficulty. I have hard ground, so I'm going to have to weight it next year so that I don't have to make so many passes.

I keep the tractor in low and let it go...
