3pt. hitch not working

today I lowered my 3pt. hitch which had my log splitter attached. Lowered it to lowest point possible approx. 6 inches from ground. Was then unable to raise hitch at all. Position and draft levers move back and forth with no movement whatsoever from the 3pt. hitch. Hitch continues to maintain approx. 6 inches from ground. hydralic fluid level is ok.. Seems like hitch has become detached from housing(?) tractor is: 1987 kubota L4150 Do you find this valuable?
